Good to know
Walk Levada do Moinho first (the higher of the two), then descend to Levada Nova. The steep connecting path is much easier tackled downhill.
Southwest-coast location means sunshine when northern and central levadas are fogged in. Keep this route in reserve for overcast days elsewhere on the island.
